A MUSIC academy has celebrated another set of stellar results from its talented pupils.
Blackpool Music Academy, in Bispham, entered 17 students into piano, keyboard, guitar and drum exams at the beginning of December.
The pupils received six merits and two passes in guitar, one distinction in piano, six merits and two passes in drums.
John Shaw, founder of the academy, said: “This is the second batch of results we have had this year and another
great success.
“We have pushed the kids and set a precedent for Blackpool Music Academy.”
The academy supports anyone who wants to learn a musical instrument and funds the cost of exams and pays for textbooks to allow their members to learn at home.
Mr Shaw added: “It cost us£850 to put the kids through their exams and we received grants so we can support the students and give them something back.“It gives the teachers a great feeling to see them dowel. If we get people that haven’t passed, we take them aside and get them up to scratch.”
The academy is currently hosting a number of charity events to raise money for new premises.
